"Guided by Faith: Navigating Education Provision with Trust in God"

As a parent, the beginning of a new school term can be a stressful time. We're faced with the challenge of providing fees and other requirements for our children's education. It can be overwhelming to think about how to afford everything, but it's important to remember that "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

One way to alleviate the stress is by setting goals and making a plan to achieve them. "Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Proverbs 29:18), so I encourage you to set specific and measurable goals for your children's education, such as getting good grades or graduating from high school. I know it may sound simple, but having a plan in place and having specific goals will help you feel more in control of the situation and give you a sense of purpose.

If you're struggling to afford the fees, know that you're not alone. "Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you" (Psalm 55:22). You can seek financial assistance from the school or local organizations. You could also look for part-time jobs or small business opportunities to generate income. Additionally, it's important to know that the government has a subsidy for primary education and also have bursaries for secondary education for less privileged families.

But most importantly, it's crucial for us as parents to trust in God's plan for our lives and our children's education. I know it can be difficult to trust in something that we can't see or control, but "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trusting in God's plan can bring peace and comfort during difficult times.

In conclusion, as parents striving to provide for our children's education, it's important to remember to set goals, seek financial assistance, and trust in God's plan. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Never give up hope, because with God all things are possible. We may not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. Let's trust in Him, for He is a good father and will always provide for His children as His word says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
